Description

The BLD-YT08D-170 Emergency LED Driver is a BillDa-brand 8W battery backup driver with a patent-pending, ultra-slim form factor purpose-built for ultra-thin back-lit panel lights. Its long, narrow profile wires directly into the AC input of the LED driver, needs no flex conduit or connector, and works with CCT-selectable fixtures. It delivers constant power for a full 90-minute runtime and includes automatic monthly and annual self-testing. It is UL Listed to UL924 and CSA C22.2 No.141 for both factory and field installation.

• Two test switch options: a Skinny Film test switch with 3-color indicator (Green flashing = charging, Green on = full charge, Red on = discharging/emergency mode, Red flashing = low battery, Yellow = error), 7.87″ (200mm) lead; or an M12 Plastic Test Switch with Face Plate (2.76″ x 4.49″ plate), also with a 7.87″ (200mm) lead
• Mandatory 0-10V dimming interconnect: the emergency driver’s Dim+ (Blue) and Dim- (Yellow) wires must connect to the LED driver’s DIM+ and DIM- terminals — required whenever the connected 0-10V LED driver’s input power is 60W or less, whether or not an external 0-10V dimmer or DC12V sensor is also used

• Ambient temperature: 5°C to 50°C (41°F to 122°F)
• Sealed Li-ion battery; please charge continuously for >24 hours on first use to activate the full battery cells; recharge for 24 hours every 6 months during storage (maximum 1-year shelf life before recharge is required to avoid battery damage, not covered under warranty)
• Requires an unswitched AC power source on the same branch circuit as the AC LED driver
• Designed for dry and damp locations only — do not use outdoors, and do not mount near gas or electric heaters
• For use with grounded, UL Listed LED luminaires; the emergency driver must be enclosed by the LED luminaire and bonded to its grounding
• Manufacturer advises confirming product/system compatibility before final installation
