Description

The HLWLEZU is a hazardous location LED exit sign rated for Class 1, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, & D environments, built for reliable, code-compliant emergency egress identification where flammable gases, vapors, or liquids may be present. It features ultra-bright, energy-efficient, long-life Red or Green LED lettering, Single or Double Face configuration, and dual 120/277V input voltage. The fiberglass-reinforced polycarbonate housing in Gray finish is IP66 rated for ingress protection, with a corrosion-resistant enclosure, a one-piece, high-impact resistant, UV-stabilized polycarbonate lens, a molded gasket, and stainless steel screws. Die-cast mounting brackets are provided for surface wall-mount installation, with a pre-installed conduit hub for conduit and pendant-mount installations; EZ snap-out Chevron directional indicators simplify setup. Choose the AC-only version for continuously powered signage, or the Battery Backup (EM) version, which adds a 4.8V long-life, maintenance-free rechargeable NiCd battery with an internal solid-state transfer switch for a minimum of 90 minutes of emergency illumination on power loss, a fully automatic two-rate charger that recharges a discharged battery within 24 hours, a bi-color LED battery-condition indicator (green = normal, red = check battery), and a magnetic test switch for mandated code compliance testing.
