Description

The WSD-EMPK04E27-4W Emergency LED Driver is a compact 4W battery backup driver with a built-in Li-ion battery, wired inline between the LED driver and the LED array. It automatically switches to emergency power when the AC supply is interrupted and returns to normal charging once power is restored. It is UL Listed to UL924 and CSA C22.2 No.141 for both factory and field installation and built for indoor dry and damp locations.

• Emergency runtime: 1.5 hours (90 minutes)

• Wires inline between the LED driver’s output and the LED array — no 0-10V dimming leads shown in the wiring diagram
• Battery protections: overcharge, over-discharge, and short-circuit protection
• Batteries rated for 500 cycles of standard charge/discharge
• Universal input voltage: 100-277VAC, 50/60Hz — a narrower input range than the 100-347VAC on the WSD-EMS/EML/300YM series
• AC input current 100mA max; AC input power rating 5.0W max
• The connected AC LED driver’s output cannot exceed 50W or 1A
• Illuminated test switch with indicator light; red LED indicates charging, off when discharging on emergency power
• Battery charging current: 300mA max; charging time ≥24 hours
• Requires an unswitched AC power source on the same branch circuit as the AC LED driver
• Designed for dry and damp locations only — do not use outdoors, and do not mount near gas or electric heaters
• For use with grounded, UL Listed LED luminaires; the emergency driver must be enclosed by the LED luminaire and bonded to its grounding
• Ambient temperature rating (Li-ion): 5°C to +50°C (41°F to 122°F)
• Customers are advised to recharge the driver for 24 hours every 6 months during storage
